MH Builders 2017 Limited ("MH Builders", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through mhbuilders.co.nz, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on our website (an enquiry, a free guide or our plan book), we collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and anything you tell us about your build: location, budget range, timeframe, land and finance status.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar tools to understand how people use our site and to measure our advertising. These include:

• Google Analytics and Google Ads, to see which pages are visited and whether our Google ads lead to enquiries.
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to visits and enquiries, and to show our ads to people who have visited our website.

These tools record things like the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and the date and time. We do not send what you type into our forms to Google or Meta.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and talk with you about your build.
• To send you the guide or plan book you asked for, and related emails about building with us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• To send you our newsletter, only if you ticked the box to receive it.
• To improve our website and measure how well our advertising works.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with:

• the service providers that run our website, forms, email and customer records (including our CRM provider, OBMHub), Google and Meta, as described above
• our marketing manager, who helps manage our website and advertising
• anyone else only if you agree, or if the law requires it

Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand. We use reputable providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to New Zealand law.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. If you become a client, we keep project records as required for building and tax purposes.

Your choices and rights

• Access and correction: you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it.
• Marketing emails: unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, or contact us.
• Cookies and ads: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram settings and Google account settings.
